entertaining and enlightening
A beautiful book about a beautiful art form!
This book contains a wealth of information by knowledgeable dancers with a long history of experience and research in this art form. The cultural and accurate representation of the origins and regions of the various types of Middle Eastern Dance make for an interesting read, along with the addition of wonderful photographs, including traditional costuming, and the now vintage 70s American costuming.
It's ok!! Not exactly what I was looking for but it has a lot of photos of bellydancers like me!!
Just started to learn to belly dance at the age of 80. This book not only gives background and history, it inspires me to keep moving.
